Great bench, very sturdy and I would buy again. Things to improve: 1) more recessed joint or closer pads. 2) A sturdier joint or a less slippery point of contact where the column meets the bench’s head area. Right now there is some side to side movement as I get into position. Maybe this will improve as the smooth rubber surface wears off a little. Im nitpicking. 3) It would be nice to give a weight rating in the flat position if it’s different than standing up. It’s very sturdy, I imagine it’s well above the listed 700lbs but maybe that’s with a huge factor of safety.

The new incline bench arrived a few days ago, and our members are already loving it. The build quality and feel of the bench itself seem like a solid 5-star product so far, but I’m rating it 3 stars solely due to the frustrating assembly experience. The instructions and hardware chart were difficult to decipher. It was tough to tell what went where or how many of each piece were required—partly because some bolts, washers, and nuts came pre-installed while others were loose. I even appeared to be short on the proper size washers, or at least the manual made it too ambiguous to tell. A few improvements could make a huge difference: * Clarify the manual and hardware diagram to clearly show what comes pre-installed versus loose. * Include a basic, properly sized throwaway wrench for convenience in case someone doesn't have tools handy (though using your own socket set is definitely the way to go for a quicker build). If you’re mechanically inclined and have a good set of tools and spare hardware on hand, you'll be fine. I’m very happy with how the bench performs and will update this review once we put more miles on it, and the manufacturer really needs to clean up the documentation. Loved that instruction sheet was covered in a clear protective covering.

Nice upgrade over the Rep AB-3100

Good vinyl, vibrant color, stores vertically, great knurled handle and easy to move. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that there was some shipping damage which bent the seat bracket slightly making it difficult to assemble, and less smooth to adjust.
