It is much much more than a travel platform. I brought this on vacation once, and that was great. But that's not where the true value is.
The single most valuable thing about this is that you can do many of your "lifts from the floor" with this rather than with attaching the Voltra to your rack. If you attach the Voltra to the base of your rack, it will be higher off the ground than if you attach it to the travel platform. Sometimes you want to be able to start very low (e.g., belt squats, rows, etc), and this is a way to start lower to the ground than if it is mounted on the base of your rack. Definitely don't just use this for travel!

This board has been great for several movements, but I wish it came with attachable steps to allow room to belt squat or to do deadlifts to a full range of motion. I have tried my own blocks but it feels pretty unstable. Other than that, I have had no issues attaching the Voltra to the board itself, it just feels like they could make it a more versatile piece with some small changes.

The travel platform is a great portable tool to mount the Voltra to. It's stable, rock solid and allows for many variations in exercise. I've been using it for curls, belt squats, calf raises, RDLs, any more. If you're tight on space or don't have a rack, or simply want something to take on the go this is a great solution. It probably won't fit in a carry-on, or a backpack but it would fit in a normal sized checked bag, or easily in your car, truck etc.
My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a mount with a doubling plate on it for the 1:2 pulley hack. It's pretty easy to hit 200-230# if you're doing leg/hinge exercises.
