Really bummed by this. I ordered this and their decaf roast thrilled to try them as the flavor profiles sounded great and the vibes felt up my alley. They emphasized that they do only light roast and are looking for wackier cups which I love. Unfortunately upon receiving them and smelling both cans. There’s little to no difference between them. Having tried several different pour over methods with these beans they don’t seem to have any of the notes or similarity to what they’re selling. I’ve tried four different pour over recipes/methods and dialed in the grind. Unfortunately these beans just make an excellent cup of diner coffee.
It’s a step up from second wave coffee and they have the stats on the can making them third wave, but I wouldn’t classify this as specialty coffee. Maybe there was a mistake and I accidentally got two cans of decaf or something.
