Fire out faster

The fire strangler does put your fire out faster than not using it. It takes my fire about 2 hours fir the temperature to get down to about 150 degrees from about 400. When it gets to about 150, I can put the cover on the grill.

It helps a lot but still takes a bit for the fire to smother

Fire strangles

Closed up the intake and exhaust dampers lowed the fire basket all the way. Fire burned for two more hours to ashes. Not pleased.
