Turtle-Shaped Backpack

It's TURTLE-ly Adorable

This is HANDS-DOWN the cutest backback / purse / bag that I've ever gotten. I stumbled across this whimsical item while I was looking to purchase a different item (which is also delightful), and I immediately SMASHED the purchase button. Not only do I love full grain leather, but I love turtles. So this was a no-brainer purchase. The size is just right. It is not too large (or you'd end up lookin' like the 5th Ninja Turtle), and I actually like the size as I tend to overstuff/overfill any bag I bring with. The hardware is sturdy, and the YKK zipper is the perfect amount of "chunky" in style but the movement is still smooth like butta'. Now onto the best part - The leather! I LOVE leather. The smell, the texture, the weight, the uniqueness of each piece, and the way it ages and forms a dark, lush patina. GORGEOUS. The leather is a decent quality and thickness for the application. Not too chunky or heavy. The colors work well together - a gentle medium brown and subdued darker green - to create a pleasing contrast to the eye. I also enjoy and appreciate that they designed the turtles head, flippers, and tail to be the sueded side of the leather. With "real" full/top grain leathers, you play the long game. It takes YEARS to wear it in fully. It softens, darkens slightly, and the grain becomes more obvious. The leather is much smoother and shinier than I imagined that it would be, which makes me think it is a more processed, top grain leather rather than a rougher, less processed full grain leather. However, I am hopeful looking at it that I am able to wear this bag in and use it for many, many years to come.

I'm getting so many compliments! Love this turtle bag, the smaller size is perfect to carry all of my items without being too heavy. Can't get over how cute it is!
