Great everyday carry

I own A LOT OF KNIVES. When my wife asks, "What, another knife?" I answer, "I know I need help!" Then we laugh. The Ellis is the second "James" Brand knife I have purchased. The first was "The Carter", which I gifted to my brother James. I'm not a minimalist; that wasn't my purpose in making this purchase. I wanted a well-made, practical, lightweight knife I could drop in my pocket regardless of the pants/shorts I'm wearing. And this knife fits the bill. It is well-made and fits my everyday needs, from cutting twine, opening an envelope, or freeing a toy from its packaging for my grandson. Even if I carry another knife for heavy-duty work, this knife will be in my pocket. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pretty good for what it is

I like the profile and minimal style. The build and blade strength seem good. I’m a frame lock fan, so the mechanism is not one I would probably carry daily but I knew that going in. Nothing wrong with the quality at this point.

Elegantly executed knife

The Ellis has a beautiful spare design. Just the essential, but with detail that provide visual interest. I bought it as a complement to the Helton multi-tool. Together they make a great pairing.
