When you depress the swingarm to load it with opposing force, the top swings open. Then, you release your thumb, and the arm returns that force to strike the flint, sparking the flame. When you're ready to snuff it out, the top swings shut, and we're back to zero. From there, you'll probably want to do it again. And maybe again

Beautifully crafted. Solid and weighty. It’s fun to use and works perfectly. If you’re a fan of excellently engineered kit, this is worth e wry cent. Very glad I picked one up.

The Craighill Swingtop Lighter is exceptionally well-crafted, offering a substantial feel with no discernible looseness. The lever mechanism operates with smooth precision, and the fit and finish are outstanding. Well done Craighill!

This is the coolest lighter you'll ever own. I don't smoke and I bought one for the sheer artistry and craftsmanship and it does not disappoint. It's built like a tank and the precision mechanics is a thing of beauty. I will have the most beautiful and functional candle ignition system in town. 🤣🤣🤣
