The WIRED Viper has exceeded my expectations. It’s brutally quick, incredibly stable at speed, and just feels planted and confident. We’ve already seen 55 mph GPS and an 11.54-second ⅛-mile at 52 mph, and we’re still early in testing. The power delivery is strong, the chassis handles it well, and so far the Viper feels like WIRED took everything they’ve learned and put it into one bike. I’m seriously impressed!

First and foremost, Wired communications have been excellent!
After trying and returning 2 other e-bikes, I realized, “just get the bike you really want”. The Wired Viper. Purchased end of July w estimate of end of August delivery. Wired emailed me at delivery date a detailed explanation of reasons for delay due to 3 typhoons. Delivered as promised mid September via freight. No damage to the bike! It took me a little longer than expected to assemble front wheel, fender, and light but I’m a senior, no surprise. Went to tighten all nuts and bolts and they were ALL tight!
This bike is FAST and TORQUEY! Definitely an adjustment period of a few hours on the bike. The most intimidating part of rides is starting from stop at intersections. I finally settled into PAS 1 front motor 10% or PAS 1 rear 15%. Still a little nervous starting in all wheel drive. So torquey. I accidentally had it all wheel drive from a stop in PAS 1, lost control hopped a curb and broke the kick stand. I emailed Wired immediately asking for another kick stand, explaining why. Wired immediately sent another…and didn’t charge me! I didn’t even ask. Wow! I’ve had my Viper 2 weeks and have 285 miles already. So much fun to ride! Didn’t realize how zen and peaceful it is to ride. I’m partially retired and riding almost every day.
Fit. I’m short. 5’4”. I’m kinda in between the short and long seat posts provided. Long too long, short is fine but I’m 1/2”-1” extended beyond minimal seat post line. I’ve also tried and returned a suspension seat post and wireless seekrun dropper seat post. At 390mm length, both were too long. Ideally, I want a suspension dropper seat post for safety at intersections, and extension when moving and pedaling. Also, after these miles, I changed seats to the Cloud9. It’s not perfect, but better for my butt! I’ve found a wired dropper seat post by V3 in a short 295mm length but don’t want to externally wire the dropper.
Finish. Wow does this bike get looks! It’s so beautiful and the wicked red really pops!
Mechanically, the brakes are fantastic, handlebar and stem rock solid. Tires, wheels true and straight. Motors and controller are so quick to respond. The motors are loud. I knew that. I hope the metal gears will last longer than the plastic gears of its competitors. Understand the logic.
Ultimately, I chose the Viper over the magician alpha mini. I am very pleased with my purchase. Especially the communication with Wired. Thx Wired.
