Large wild Alaskan Spot Prawns, almost as big as our Jumbo size but harvested before the females develop visible roe. Same firm, sweet, almost lobster-like meat, trap-caught from the deep cold inlets of Southeast Alaska. Easier to work with in dishes where roe would change the presentation.

omg. I could not believe the quality of the prawn. I live on the coast of NC. so I eat shrimp all the time. but this prawn trap caught off unpopulated islands of alaska ... it is a completely different world. the packaging was so clean. the shrimp had NO fish smell whatsoever, no heads, and they were so delicious.
