Stormloft 15 TopQuilt

Recently purchased and used in the Sierra late September 2026, temps into the 30s. The 15 degree quilt plus a new Nemo Tensor wide pad and lightweight merino long johns kept me toasty all night. It was my second experience with a quilt and the freedom of movement makes for a much nicer backcountry night than a sleeping bag.

For reference I'm 61 years old and I'm coming from a now discontinued North face furnace 20° bag. It was an awesome sleeping bag but it weighed 2 lb 10 oz. Lately my right knee started talking to my left hip and decided to try and convince me to go lighter and after reading the reviews and watching some videos and weighing 1 lb 8 oz I thought the stormloft 15° quilt was the way to go and who doesn't like a bit of gold in their gear? I really love the cut and you can really tell when you clip the snaps behind your neck, the quilt wraps itself partially underneath you. Awe! It luvs me.

I absolutely recommend the Stormloft TopQuilt! It is quite warm and roomy, not like a mummy bag that is restricting. When I got to warm it was easy to pull down the top and vent. It felt like sleeping under a quilt at home! I won't sleep in a bag again!
