Happy with Reconyx
This is my second Reconyx hyperfire. The first one is over seven years old and only recently started having problems with a sticky IR lens which sometimes produces pink toned photos. It is an easy fix that Reconyx estimates will cost around $30 at their Wisconsin factory. Having a US manufacturer that stands behind its merchandise is important to my family, and this camera’s amazing battery life, picture quality and reliability are icing on the cake. The folks at Trailcampro are the best too.

Disappointed, again...
Utter disappointment. This is my 3rd Reconyx and the 3rd big let down. I have several trailcams from different manufacturers and they all out perform all 3 Reconyxs easily. And this "new" HF2 is no exception. More wasted money on another subpar Reconyx. The only thing they have going for them is that they're made in the US, customer service and build quality. So what if they last for years. If its performance is subpar then its practically useless. For what this trailcam cost, I can buy 3 other trailcams that will smoke this and any other Reconyx I own. And believe me, I have performed head to head test with other trailcams that I own. So I'm saying all this from something I've read off the internet. I'm saying all this from actual test that I've performed. As much as I would like to support a US based manufacturer, I cannot recommend this product. Sorry Reconyx, I tried.

Reconyx Hyperfire 2
The Reconyx takes great photos and good video and is very reliable. I have two cameras set up in the same area and it is amazing the photos the Reconyx gets that the other camera completely misses.
