Irukandji is a very special rounded/rectangular polyester string. It is soft and provides great snap-back and feel. It enhances spin potential due to its added elasticity. It was engineered to function as the ideal Cross string.
Its smooth surface allows the mains and crosses to slide on each other, minimizing notching and maximizing snap

Live Wire
Wow, these Irukandji crossed with natural gut in the mains are a live wire. Not only lively, but powerful and soft. They have exceptional feel delivering excellent topspin, slice and serve pop. I also really enjoy volleying with the Irukandji. I currently have Irukandji in my Pure Strike’s (16 x18 with added weight/322 swing weight) strung with natural gut in mains at 56 lbs and Irukandji at 53 lbs in crosses.
I’m very impressed with Grapplesnake strings and I’ve been winning a lot lately with them 😎.

Awesome cross string!
The string is slick and allows the mains to move freely. The snapback is excellent. I strung this with Alpha in the mains and Iru in the crosses. This made my Speed Pro's stringbed more lively and added needed power!
