TRUFFLE X

I'm a 4.0 Men's 40+ USTA league player. I Put the Truffle in the mains and Toro O-Toro in the crosses. I do like this set up. Still settling on the tensions. But will probably be around 54/51. Interestingly, the O-Toro crosses break before the Truffle mains. You do get a small amount of O-Toro fraying just before breaking which is a nice heads up. The Truffle shows no sign of breaking when the crosses go. I probably get about 10-14 heavy hitting / doubles matches out of a set. I hit topspin off both wings.

I think is a petty good string. Definitely unique. It’s not for everyone, though. I have clients that love it, but personally, I can seem to find a set up with it as a cross that I am satisfied with. I would recommend people try it, though.

If looking for a poly replacement for synthetic gut, truffle x is the answer. For my daughter 13 as a hybrid setup it last her for weeks easy and probably longer. For my self though I get about 3-4 hours some times less as a cross with a5 in mains but thats longer than many other brands. Highly recommend for all levels of players.
