Back, and it's as if I never went away

Everyone I know likes a "bargain" so looks for relatively inexpensive cycling shoes. You've probably got at least three or four pairs in rotation, though. And partly that's because they're... not quite right. I missed my Lake shoes - leather, super-comfortable, super-durable - but they were so expensive compared to these here whatevers. Which proved to not be particularly comfortable, were kind of cheaply made, and the darned things fell apart in no time flat. To my shame, I even bought some shoes from a direct-from-china on-line aggregator. (Don't) So here I am back. And man - they're still comfortable, fit perfectly, well made, a little less leather-y (so, lighter) and geez I've missed them. Had my first ride in them a week or so ago. Ahhhh. Two days later, same experience. Room in the forefoot, fit perfectly on my skinny heels, feel good on, the boas and re-jiggered wrap fit seem to work perfectly. So yeah, if you're on the fence - don't be.

Truly roomy

After buying and returning quite a few pairs of cycling shoes over the past couple of months, I was absolutely thrilled to put these on my feet. A few rides in and nothing but comfort, room to move my toes, and no pain after a few hours of riding. Stellar, and built extremely well.

Shoe is pretty good,very much like the wider toe box. Advice to “size up” was not great advice from the websites AI/Fit helper. This shoe model would benefit from a longer tongue-this hits me right in the ankle crease and only time will tell (and a longer ride) if this becomes an irritation. Customer service is essentially non-existent for help with sizing and shoe selection-people may want to be prepared for lots of shipping and return costs as they try to dial in the fit/model. I also (my bad!) accidentally cut the BOA Lace cutting the tags off the shoe and was told I can call BOA (who sent me a “self service” repair kit)—????? Hope I can fix this “on my own” or I’m out a couple hundred bucks. Cycling shoe rating? 7 or possibly 8 (out of 10). Customer Service? 2 out of 10.
