Warm Bulb

I was expecting something a little off-putting or unnerving. Instead, I was immediately transported to my grandparents' cozy apartment overseas, sorting through their dusty belongings on a cold day. The opening is very dusty and a touch medicinal, but the interwoven vanilla makes it comforting and sweet. Just like seeing my grandparents once every other year. This is the first and only time a perfume has brought tears to my eyes. It's a distant yet familiar memory, yet also wearable. A real masterpiece in scent engineering.

Just got a sample and completely disagree with another reviewer claiming others were exaggerating about the scent smelling like a hot, dusty light bulb. That is exactly what it smells like. No idea how they managed to also capture what hot air smells like. You know when you step into an incredibly hot and humid room in the summer and you almost choke on the air upon inhale? Yeah that's what this is and it's incredible.

I finally bought the full bottle. A year ago when I bought my first sample of this I was unimpressed but it was something I kept coming back to. The dust on a light bulb thing wasn’t instantly recognizable to me and I think the reviews claiming photo realism are exaggerating, but it’s a really lovely warm perfume. Very wearable modern and chic.
