My First Nature Reader

Such an amazing first reader! I wish I would have had this with my first two kids learning to read. Beautiful pictures and fun and uplifting content.

I teach reading to adult Afghan women refugees. English is a second (or third) spoken language for them, but since they never have had the opportunity to attend school in the past, they are learning to read for the very first time... in English. As a result finding basic phonics (CVC) readers for my students is very difficult. "My First Nature Reader" provides instructionally solid content using simple stories that are beautifully written and illustrated. As a result it is a wonderful resource for "brand-new readers" of all ages... After seeing how our women responded to this book, my goal for this year is that each would progress to the point that they can take "My First Nature Reader " home and read it to their young children.

My daughter is loving this book and looks forward to reading it. I'm so happy I purchased this one - she is learning to read because of this!
