I've recently tried several harnesses from leading brands and one of my biggest challenges has been finding the right fit for an individual dog's body type while still allowing natural movement. I also pay close attention to stability, comfort during extended wear and how pressure is distributed during a brief lift.
Of the harnesses I've tried, the Säker has been the best fit for my dog and has checked the most boxes. The adjustable chest was a game changer for getting a secure fit and we haven't experienced any loosening of the straps which I'd seen mentioned in some reviews. It remained comfortable and stable on longer hikes and provided a secure, supported lift when the terrain was simply “too big” for her to negotiate safely on her own.
The chest adjustment is maxed out at its shortest setting on my dog so we're right at the limit, but it seems to be working well. We'll continue testing long term durability but so far I'm very glad we gave it a try. Well done, Säker!
The video was put together with clips from a comparison I was doing between several harnesses, so you'll hear me referencing specifics about fit issues we were comparing
