Screen Door Adapter

I fitted the adaptor to my existing screen pet door. Initially I was disappointed the adaptor arrived in two sections but in fact found it an advantage as my intention was to cut the ends to fit the profiles of the upper and lower sills thus making everything draft and fly proof. working with two sections made things simple as once I had scribed and cut the profiles on the end of each section, once in place, the overlap in the middle allowed me to cut to the precise final length. Presto! Job complete and looking good. Fit for purpose.

It kind of works and secures both sliding doors adequately. Required a bit of cutting and massaging to fit securely. Im not sure if the intent is for it to slip over or inside the pet flap because neither works, so I bolted it straight on, which required some extra supporting screws for stability.
