I hand-paint an oil on canvas reproduction of Composition VIII by Wassily Kandinsky.
Circles, diagonals, arcs and small geometric forms float across a pale ground. Sharp black lines meet bright areas of color, building an abstract arrangement whose sense of balance comes from the changing weight and direction of its shapes.
