I never got the chance to try the original Mtn Dew gamefuel so I can’t speak on if this is accurate to that flavor or not. I like this drink though. To me the aftertaste does remind me of Mtn Dew in general or even Gatorade (surprising the sports drink is similar to another sport drink). The flavor was a little weird on the first day but it grew on me quickly and it gave me energy like advertised. It’s like a slight cherry with citrus flavor, pretty good to me, a little salty but not nearly as salty as some reviews made me think it would be. I put 2 scoops in my bottle for a big physical exercise day and it was a Godsend. Wish the price was a little cheaper but honestly the price per serving is close to any other energy drink or cheaper and the ingredients appear to be better for you so that rationalizes it to me. I like it

Tasty but very different flavour profile.
Going in I knew that this wasn't going to taste 1 for 1 to the soda it's based off of. But the flavour profile is entirely different from the drink it takes inspiration from. The flavour of this drink using the recommended serving (2 tablespoons in 20oz of water) was more of a lemon/grapefruit flavour than than the Cherry Citrus of its inspiration. That's not to say that the drink itself wasn't good or refreshing, it was just very different from what I was expecting. I would liken it to closer to a yellow Gatorade flavour profile or a liquid IV.

this mix is incredibly salty. id argue it's saltier than regular Gatorade.
yes it's sport drink. it's part of the branding but I was not prepared for just how salty it tastes. either I'm putting too much on or it's just designed that way.
personally not a fan.
