In my opinion, the basket is a must-have for any cooler, so you can keep some things up off the ice like lettuce or certain veggies or fruits. I love that it’s a mesh so that water can drain out of the basket

Love the cooler. It is super solid and keeps the "goods" cold for many days. I puchased 2 cooler baskets, which nest very well in the cooler, to prevent the dreaded "floater" food items in the ice water. Nobody likes a soggy burrito or sandwich.

Used my Prospector 103 cooler for the first time this weekend. We run a Maravia Zephyr Raft with a RecreTec frame and it fits perfectly. The cooler itself is not too heavy for its size and it also kept the drinks ice cold no problem. Love the drain plug options and smooth bungee locks. Canyon is the way to go!
