The titanLIGHT is a rugged, waterproof, refillable lighter machined in the USA from aircraft-grade aluminum. An o-ring on each cap seals water out and stops the liquid fuel from evaporating between uses, so a filled lighter stays ready for months. A high-spark flint wheel lights reliably in wind and cold, where piezo igniters and butane l

The lighter is not leak proof. I likely over filled it (they do warn about the amount) but I’m not going to get a graduated cylinder and measure 2 mL each time I fill it. Leakage was from the bottom seal as well as through the top. I filled it like I would my zippo. I had it on my desk now for 3 weeks, testing ignition every now and then, and at this point there is no leakage and it still lights up. A zippo cannot manage barely a week until it’s evaporated dry, so they accomplished their goal in this lighter. My opinion is I likely overfilled the lighter and it is definitely tighter than a zippo from an evaporation point of view. The flint and wick appear to be both more robust than the zippo. The lighter is extremely lightweight and esthetically pleasing. One negative vs zippo is the cap is completely off when igniting (screw top with gasket may be best way to get the desired seal) but I won’t lose the lid on zippo. More expensive than a zippo. I’ll try it in the wild (camping trip) and see if anything new comes up but I’d say it’s a beautiful, expensive lighter that definitely holds fuel longer than a zippo and I hope I don’t lose the cap. Maybe a tethered cap would work?

Like the lighter the o-ring seals keep evaporating to a minimum. It seams the wick isn’t pulling fuel up as will as I would expect but that could be user error. The one improvement I would like to see is a lanyard hole on the main lighter as well as the cap.

Elegantly simple, no frills lighter. Seems to hold fluid forever and is very durable.
