Model D bladed series

Seems to sink more easily than the 2.25” version. Took off one of the two blades and it stayed afloat a little better, but still filled with water every cast when being worked through thick lillies. It seems like the opening on the bottom is too large and allows air to escape more easily than other topwater lures I’ve used. Made a few modifications using UV epoxy to better seal the opening while still allowing the plastic to compress easily. Caught a pickerel first session using it and it held up well to it’s teeth, the two small holes were easily fixed with super glue. Definitely will be buying more despite the issue with it filling with water!

1st session using this I caught my pb snakehead! Pulls through lillies relatively well and the wake it created drew a bunch of strikes!
