Smells like you, but deeper. Autumn in the Southeast, crushed cedar, curling smoke, and sweet notes of ale and pipe tobacco. Earthy, spiced, and quietly bold. Not just comforting. Compelling.
A natural cologne inspired by the warmth and stillness of a Southern fall. Underhill blends the richness of tobacco, smoked wood, and dark ale wit

Really something special
I'll start by saying I've never liked colognes or perfumes. Since I was in high school (I'm 48) I've worn raw sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, etc. I always use pine tar soap. I like things to smell dark, deep, rich, and smokey.
Well, recently my wife commented that I still smell like i did when I was 16. She didn't mean it in a good way. It occurred to me that what I always considered to be very complex scents were actually pretty basic and boring. That sent me on a journey through reddit and other various forums discussing fragrances and searching for something complex, warm, inviting, and unique. I landed on a few different things and ordered some samples from other companies. I kept coming back to Underhill based on the description alone and finally pulled the trigger and ordered a small bottle. I believe my search is over.
How can I describe this scent? It brings me back to some memory that I can't place. Like the way you remember childhood Christmas Eves as an idea rather than a singular, concrete memory. It smells like a room in a cottage in the woods with a fire in a hearth and an old man smoking a pipe and sipping whiskey while his wife bakes a cake in a Dutch oven. It's lovely. I keep smelling my own wrists because it takes me to some old world I've never been to but always wanted to visit.
If any of this sounds like what you're looking for, just go ahead get yourself some. You won't regret it.

"What are you wearing?"
I've been falling in love with Misc. Goods Co. products this year. Nameless Earth, Greyhaven, Greyhaven Night....all absolutely incredible. I recently gave Underhill a try, and it was no exception. I was traveling yesterday and got asked once in the Uber, and twice at the airport what I was wearing. It was Underhill. There is something subtle about how it grows on you, your skin, and sort of morphs into something very different than what it would smell like if you just sprayed it to smell it. It sort of takes on a new life. I love it so much.
