Gingerbread House Baking Kit

We were so excited to have gibgerbread houses my youngest could eat and bought two for both our girls. We love yumearth, but felt this was a fail. There were no real directions for making the house, but after searching online i found what people did- with the ingredients that you add listed at the bottom of the box. It did not create a dough.. at all… we needed to add extra wet ingredients. Once cooled, the pieces cracked and it was just not a great experience. We will continue to buy the yumearth brand, but avoid the gingerbread houses.

Didn't Work

Was really excited to try this kit and actually be able to eat it afterwards. I'm thankful for the clean ingredients and that it was gf/df and artificial dye free. Cons: they don't give you much candy to decorate with, also It didn't stay together!! I followed the icing recipe to a T and it was VERY thick like glue. I even held that parts together for 10 minutes and it still wouldn't stay. Very disappointed as it was never a house. I had to just let it fall and sadly it never became a gingerbread house. It is very pricey and if spending that much money, it should work. I won't purchase again, but it was a fun idea.

The ingredients are quality and the content is allergy safe which is the most important part so thank you. It is very expensive for the size.
