I got this for one of my cats who engages in a lot of problematic behavior because I figured he was trying to communicate something through that behavior. He immediately took to these buttons, and uses them all day! His problem behavior has reduced drastically because he finally has a functional and appropriate way to tell us what he wants. I’m so, so grateful this resource exists because it has totally changed our life for the better!
I also have two other cats, and even though they aren’t too interested in pressing the buttons, they still know what they mean! Whenever Mulberry (the boy who uses the buttons constantly) asks for “grass,” Mocha will come running to get some grass too! Same with Goji, she comes running anytime Mulberry asks for treats or scritches. They also do a lot better when their dad is out of town because I’m able to tell them about it before he leaves and tell them when he’s coming home! (“Dad home today/tomorrow”)
All in all an incredible product! I highly recommend to ALL pet owners, but especially to the pet owners who have pets engaging in challenging behavior. That behavior is often a sign that they need something and are really struggling to be heard and understood.

I got the fire kit as an add on for my cat Moe's setup. He learns so fast. He can't get enough buttons and we're really only constrained by money. I've started him on names of toys which is great because he's only about a year old and wants to play all the time so it's helpful that he can ask. I can't tell if he's having some difficulty with 'yes' and 'all done' or his latest words like 'worm' (a favorite toy) and 'love' because i've been introducing two words at a time. But he loves to press and talk and communicate. So the more we do it, the more he learns. And I press them to communicate with him too.

We’ve started with the treat button and he knows that the button will lead to treats so he strokes it but can’t put enough pressure on it to activate the button. We’ve tried to add a chair pad on top to add a bit of weight to make it easier but he doesn’t like that. Not too sure what else to do
