I’m not a fan of FB Leather, apparently

This is one of two candles with the “leather” scent I bought, and Frostbeards leather is not one for me. Although not as pungent as Oxford, the mahogany and coffee scents are tinged with a sharp, chemical, fake-plastic-leather right out of a factory bag - almost ozone-like smell. It’s intense enough to foul the other scents. The smell has a plasticy/ozone edge that makes it feel more like the leather section of a cheap tourist trap store than a saddle shop. I’m not sure if it’s the leather that makes the coffee side small bad, but it has no depth or caramelized smell of good coffee; it’s more like 7-11 coffee. The mahogany is a nice edge smell, but it’s overpowered by the other two and doesn’t linger in the burned scent. I’ll note that it’s not the candle base, as I’ve had others (watsons study) which were absolutely wonderful; this one simply misses the mark.

Absolutely the best smelling candle in the history of the world. No exaggeration.

I just love these candles and am looking forward to lighting them while reading great books.
