Perfect for what it's made for but it has issues while cleaning.

I could only give 3 stars because I'm trying to figure out if there is an issue with this one or if this is just how it runs. I have a very loud squealing noise while it's cleaning. It does cause issues since it scares my kitty. However, the rest of the unit has become a true gamechanger for this household. No more smelly litter box, no more unsightly boxes and no more worrying about bending over scooping all day. My back appreciates this. My kitty took to it less than 2 hours of it being here and hasn't had the first issuer using it. I did have to set back the cleaning time since it makes a scary squealing noise which does scare her. It works but this is a major issue here. I love the AI camera since it helps me monitor waste, my kitty if she's straining, etc. It isn't 100% but it's pretty close. I think it's still learning her face because a few times I've had to add her name to videos. Overall the camera is pretty good on picking up things. I did set the auto deodorizer to every other day since she is a little finicky on the air freshener but that's fine since we cannot smell any waste. Right now I'm trying to see how long it takes to fill up. So far we have almost two weeks with a one kitty household. That is unbelievable in itself. We travel so this is the main reason why we needed it. We would rather her sitter just come in and change water and add food and not worry with her litter box. So far it's been a huge blessing here. Keeps things tidy, no smells, helps my back, helps us keep check on her and has a long duration in between maintenance. However, the squealing noise it makes scares her, wakes us up in the middle of the night and frankly worries me about the longevity of the unit. It's too expensive to make even the first noise like this. It's not a complicated system to roll the barrel so I'm stumped on why it's making this loud noise. We have not used the litter that came with the bundle yet. We are using her usual clumping litter. It does fine. We will introduce it to her at a later date. This unit has ideally saved so much litter waste that it is unbelievable. We have not had to add any as of yet (we are watching this too for vacations). I can honestly trust it for zero maintenance in right at two weeks now for a one kitty household. We love what it's made for and yes it's doing the job perfectly. However, the noises have us worried. I hope it lasts because that was alot of money out of a retired income family's budget to spend on. Again, I'm not sure what's going on but the motor squeals while cleaning.

Our pets were hesitant at first which was kind of frustrating because they have been using an automatic litter box for years. They finally started using it and it is much better than our previous litter box. The deodorizer is great and the smell is very minimal!

I’ve been using my PETKIT for a few weeks now and honestly, I really love it. It was easy to set up, looks great in the house, and makes taking care of my cat so much easier. I was a little unsure at first because of the price, but now I’m really glad I bought it. The smart features are super convenient, everything works smoothly, and it saves me a lot of time every day. My cat got used to it quickly too. Definitely one of my favorite pet purchases so far!
