They could be another 1/2 taller so they would reach all the way around the rail. Kinda silly to leave a small gap that seems to invite something to catch on the edge and start peeling it off. Maybe there’s a reason for this but I haven’t figured it out. Here’s an idea. Maybe die cut pieces that fit exactly around the whole rail and conform to the little angles at the top and bottom where the rail meets the step. Seems like that would save on wasted material as well. Sold as packs of 2 or 8. No rolls just flat
