White Whale returns at long last, featuring the first upgrade to the Oasis Clay formula in five years! It provides a matte finish with high volume for a resilient, texturized style. The product scoops and applies like a dream, then quickly sets with a gritty tack to hold the hair in place and give it a smooth, finger-combable feeling.

I’d read a lot of good things about Oasis and eventually came across White Whale. From what I understand, White Whale is a reformulated version of Oasis. I haven’t tried Oasis myself, so I can’t really compare the two.
The consistency is pretty firm, but it’s still easy to scoop and breaks down easily in the hands. I wouldn’t call the application creamy, but it also doesn’t pull on my hair like some other high-hold clays I’ve tried.
The volume and texture are great, the finish is nicely matte, and the hold is strong. I have straight, medium-density, medium-thickness Asian hair that tends to fall flat, and White Whale works really well for me.
The scent is a bit subjective. To me, it has that kind of “salon” smell.
Overall, I’m really happy with it and will definitely buy it again.

Great product. Pretty similar to the Grizzly paste they have, in terms of use, abilities, and hair feel, it just has a different scent. And the paste itself is a bit tough and needs decent hand warming for a good smooth application. I love this stuff so much. I enjoy all of Templeton Tonics' stuff immensely, and this just adds to the love. Definitely recommend.
