Best wading boots in 30 years of fly fishing
As a professional guide, my boots are my most critical piece of gear. This is my first experience with Skwala, and I’m genuinely blown away. They fit like a glove right out of the box and are incredibly comfortable. The cushioned midsole does an outstanding job absorbing shock on rocks with every single step. The cut is high enough to deliver serious ankle support and protection exactly where you need it most. On top of that, the sole traction is insane—I feel completely secure even without cleats/studs. Easily the best wading boots I’ve ever owned in 30 years on the water.

High Quality and durable
Great to hike in on. You will never twist an ankle with the support. Traction is very good. I did find myself slipping on the really slippery steep blueline rocks. I am adding grip studs this weekend, hopefully that fixes this. I love the lacing system. You can get firm and tight support. These boots look and feel bullet proof. The tread is amazing!

Daniel- RS wading boots
Just back from a three day trip to the Flat Tops Wilderness, put on just over 25 miles of trail hikes and tons of wet wading. These boots acted just like my favorite Danner hiking boots. Never felt hot spots or foot fatigue. They stayed lightweight when wet which makes all the difference hiking in them to the next spot. I have zero complaints so far and don’t see any in the future. Best wading boots hands down. Thank you!
