Mise En Block

Putting the tool section back in with the bristles makes it complicated. The clip on the strap failed immediately. And it’s hard to open. I like the idea. But it’s hard to use. I think it needs design improvements. I would not suggest it to my coworkers until those issues were fixed. Thanks. But for $150 that doesn’t feel like I got a good deal.

My wife got me one for my birthday and have been using it everyday since. Keeps everything nice and easy to access.I don't have to be dig through my loose knife bag something. My wife also initially ordered me the pro version which is too big for my knives but customer service was more than willing to help and get an Original Mise En Block shipped out to me when they were back in stock in exchange for the pro block. Super helpful.

I originally took one look at this product and thought it would be a fantastic way to transport my equipment to-and-from work via motorcycle, but the locking mechanism for the block doesn't give me enough confidence to even try to use it for that purpose. Aside from that, it arrived with a small scuff on the side (see photo) and is larger than I originally thought. The photos on the website do make it seem more compact and less "in the way." All in all, the concept is nice, but I don't think the price tag is valid for a product that is 90% plastic.
