Toasty, nutty, with caramel notes and deep woodsy warmth.

More peach than expected
Definitely thought that the Oolong (and my own milk/sweeteners) would drown any citrus flavor but am pleasantly surprised by how light and refreshing this tea is. I moved it from my home to my office for when I need an early-evening lift before poker night or any other event I want to maintain my concentration and awareness without caffeine jitters.

Very fragrant
I normally get oolong milk tea when I go to boba shops so I was very excited to be able to make my own at home. From my personal experience, this was too fragrant for my taste. It was so overpowering, I thought it was perfume 😅 As someone who has a dull sense of smell, this was quite surprising. I’ve given it multiple tries and even asked others to try some thinking it was maybe just me, but everyone who has tried it agreed with me. I’ve tried it with milk only (nonfat, whole milk, 2%), different concentrations of milk. But sadly, this flavor was a no-go for me. On the contrary, the Jasmine flavor is chef’s kiss. If I were to recommend a bag, Jasmine has been approved by everyone so far.

Nutty but not fully smooth
The roasted oolong is a little bit nutty and overall tasty. I am still working on getting the texture 100% smooth, as sometimes the powder is a little gritty if not fully mixed. I pair this with mango popping boba from a local store to give it my preferred sweetness.
