Devoción Dorado is a beautifully balanced, comforting coffee that delivers on its advertised tasting notes.
On the nose, I picked up sweet baked apples drizzled with honey, followed by roasted nuts and an aroma reminiscent of a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie.
The first sip brought flavors of homemade apple pie, with delicate hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. There was also a subtle candied sweetness that reminded me of candied orange peel and sweet candied yams.
As the coffee cooled, the baking spices became more noticeable, creating a warm, inviting flavor profile. The finish was pleasantly sweet, with a lovely maple-like quality.
What impressed me most was how accurately this coffee delivered its promised tasting notes. The flavors were recognizable, balanced, and beautifully integrated.
My only personal preference would be for a slightly more pronounced baked-goods flavor. While the notes were definitely present, I would have enjoyed a little more intensity and depth.
Overall, this is an excellent coffee for crisp autumn mornings and cold winter afternoons. Comforting, flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced.
Brewing Method: French press, 203°F, four-minute steep, followed by four minutes of cooling before tasting.

I really enjoy this coffee, I think it perfectly fits for an autumn coffee. The maple taste is the most prominent to me and this coffee shines with minimal sugar added. I've recommended this to many friends. I listed my brew method as french press, but I also grind it for pour over and I've also served it over ice. It's pretty versatile for a cozy drink.
