Very pleased

Like the shorts a lot, I like the 5 inch version, since I like to get in the sun and be a bit showy later with tan legs and body. I gt the small (I am 5' 7', 138 lbs, not bad for being 62 y/o), and think these look great on me. Former triathlete, good shape, good legs, they look great, I have four pairs of Birddogs.

Fantastic all around shorts

These shorts are perfectly sized for me and I wear them almost every day switching between the black , grey and white ones. I swim in these as well as workout and just hang out. Excellent all the way around.

BEWARE!

Beware! I really wanted to love these shorts because the very first pair I bought were honestly some of the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. They were so good that I ended up buying four or five more pairs because I thought I had finally found the perfect everyday shorts. Unfortunately, the newer pairs never felt the same. They felt tighter, less comfortable, and just different. At first I thought they needed to be washed and worn a few times, so I kept giving them a chance. I finally got frustrated enough to compare the tags and that is when I realized the shorts were not even made with the same fabric. My original pair was made in Vietnam with a shell that is 95% nylon and 5% spandex. The newer pairs I received were made in Bangladesh with a shell that is 100% polyester. That is a huge difference in how the shorts feel, stretch, and fit. What really bothers me is that I only bought more pairs because of how much I loved the original ones. As a customer, I expected that when I reordered the same shorts I would be getting the same product, or at least something very close to it. I spent a lot of money buying multiple pairs only to later find out that the fabric had changed significantly. I really wish this had been made more clear before I purchased more. If you already own an older pair that you love, I would definitely check the fabric before ordering more because the newer version may not feel anything like the pair you already have.
