Windsor Razor

I already own a Windsor in Steel and it is one of my favorite razors in a collection that has quite a few really nice razors in it. I bought this Titanium Windsor with the thought that I would like to see how Ti stacks up to Steel and how the polished finish stacks up to the machined finish I have on my steel Windsor. I have now been using the Ti Windsor for almost 10 days and it is even better than I expected, and quite different from its Steel sibling. It shaves quite a bit smoother and easier than the Steel version. I get far more blades to work in it, it is super safe to shave even when I am in a hurry with the R plate. I always get a BBS result in two passes with zero drama. Does it glide over the face quite like my Blutt, Durban No7 or Wolfman WR2? Not really. The geometry on the Windsor doesn't lend itself to that on my face. Does it get as close as my closest shaving razors like the Timless Slim or Carbon CX-316? Again...not really. Those razors are noticeably more aggressive and close to the skin, which gives me a longer-lasting BBS. But is the Ti Windsor the easiest, safest BBS shave I can get in my den? Absolutely and it isn't even close. The mirror polished titanium version does glide better than the machined steel version, but I don't know if that is because of the weight and nimbleness, or the difference in finish. One last comment to wrap up with. I have sensitive skin and a very thick and coarse beard. This razor allows me to shave daily and aim for a true BBS without it hurting my skin, causing ingrowns, or any other kinds of problems. It is a marvel and if you are considering it, it is 100% worth buying and keeping.

The Windsor in SS w/ a Regular head has been proving to be a wonderful addition to my shaving regimen. I can't praise it enough, and I am extremely happy at its ability to shave safely and effectively around the nose and across dimples. A very classic look, feel, and close shave. Thank you!!!!
