Some artwork captures a scene. The really special pieces capture a feeling.
John Rivoli’s ROCKY does exactly that.
This image represents one of the most important moments in the entire Rocky story — Rocky alone in the ring, realizing that maybe winning isn’t the point. The point is standing there when it’s over. Going the distance. Proving something to yourself when nobody else expects you to.
That message has always resonated deeply with me.
I had the opportunity to meet John and asked him to personally sign this piece for me with the words “Keep Moving Forward.” Those three words have carried a lot of meaning in my own life, which makes this artwork far more than something hanging on a wall.
John has an incredible ability to capture not only what Rocky looked like in a particular moment, but what that moment meant.

Sometimes it’s still being there at the final bell.
Keep Moving Forward.
