Perfectly engineered for my 84 vanagon. The height fits well on the outside rain gutter so it stays in place while I climb up to the roof racks.

Nice product! When I saw one come out of another Westfalia/Vanagon at a local VW show and watched it used to reach the luggage rack. I knew it was the best solution for me as well! Solid, stows under the rear seat, extends and retracts smoothly.

This thing is pretty slick. Narrower than the others I’ve seen advertised which is a good thing.
