Will I love it or will I leave it?
I had purchased several Tom Bihn backpacks or travel items, knowing that I would keep one of them (well actually, two). I decided to keep this bag vs. the Synik 26 just as a matter of preference when packing. I preferred having the split front pockets vs. multiple zippered pockets. I have traveled once with this bag. I packed the bag in more of a stacked style so as not to make the bag too deep. I packed a medium packing cube in the bottom (not TB) which held a complete outfit change, PJ's, and a couple more small items. Two clear 3D organizer cubes fit nicely side by side stacked on top of that . I had the liquids in the divided front pocket, and initially had one of the packing cubes in the front pocket, some snacks, and my 24 oz. lightweight hydro flask in the center. I also carried the TB side effect on this trip, along with a carry on roller bag. Prior to boarding I slipped my TB side effect into the top of the main section of the Paramour. I still had plenty of room to add more to the bag, but on this initial trip I was packing less until I could ascertain that it would fit under the airplane seat. I made sure the bag still had the squish option available to me if needed. The bag fit under the seat without issue. I love the Agave color of this bag. When I set the bag down, it stayed upright. I am 5' 8" and the bag was very comfortable to carry through the airports. As others have mentioned, the bag does run hot, so it would be nice if a vented back panel would be considered as a possible future improvement. Other than that, I think through more travels, I will really grow fond of this bag, though I am always open to exploring other options that Tom Bihn offers. I do fear I may become a Tom Bihn collector.

Excellent Backpack
This is my second purchase from Tom Bihn (darn you for producing bags in new colors I can't live without! Also, never stop).
My first bag is the Synik 30 which I bought for traveling. I LOVE it, but needed something a bit smaller when I only need a backpack to serve as a backpack and not also as my suitcase.
The Paramour fits the bill perfectly. Though it has a smaller footprint than the Synik, I can still pack my laptop and all of the things I want to have with me in a carry on without it feeling stuffed to the gills.

Perfect Backpack!
After buying and trying so many backpacks, I was thrilled when I finally found one that works! I was skeptical about the water bottle holder but it fits my Owala perfectly.
The same week I started using my Paramour I had an unfortunate misstep in a parking garage where I didn’t see a half step. I landed on my hands and knees but all my stuff in my backpack stayed in place and stayed on my shoulders.
