If you’re thinking of using this as just a conditioner be careful with the application. Do as you would if you were dying it: avoid your scalp as much as possible. So, you may need to pause the shower and use a mirror. Using gloves is also a suggestion, though I was able to get it off my hands better than my scalp. Or make sure you keep your head up in a way that won’t allow bleed onto your forehead 🤦‍♀️the scalp is better stained than the forehead, at least in my opinion. The color deposit is pretty good though. Definitely helps with upkeep and stalls re-dying even as my roots have grown out a bit. My natural hair color is some medium light shade of blonde, so results may be different on darker hair.

Get it directly on the hair

I used this while my hair was damp and it definitely deposited color. I figured it would kind of lather around but it did not and it only deposited color on the hair I put it directly on.
