My favorite makeup

I have used JI makeup for years. I felt the need to refresh my look and ordered more makeup from JI line. Absolutely love their makeup and love my new makeup. Highly recommend their makeup because they are ethical and put out such a healthy products.

Unhappy with the current lineup

In the early 00s, Jane Iredale PurePressed eyeshadows were all I used. Then around 2012, it became apparent that when cool-toned shades were phased out, they were not replaced by another cool tone. Previously, the creamy texture, pigment payoff, and duration were outstanding, but I haven't been able to say the same for many years. You do still have fair, cool-toned customers who prefer satin and matte finishes for our conservative jobs, but there is so little for us anymore. Color options aside, the quality has notably slipped. Some shades in the Triples arrive so hardpanned, no brush picks up any pigment. And this is for the same-named trio I'd purchased several times in the round compacts. I have also noticed that while many of these shades initially apply with visible pigment, the color is gone within a couple hours, and no -- I don't want to buy an eye primer for a product that never needed one before. I miss the palettes where the base shade was larger than the crease or accent pans. Having been a customer for 25 years, I could to on, but I'll stop here. I still watch for new releases from this brand, but it's been quite some time since I was excited over any of it. When my last single eyeshadow pans of Wink, Platinum, and Iris are gone, I'll have no choice but to move on.

Loves It

I had never heard of Jane Iredale before. I was AI'ing for some eye shadows for a 69yr old lady that were 3 coordinating shades of pinkish, no fade, no wear off no smear. And AI recommended Jane Iredale. I was not sure when I opened the package but thought I'd give it a try. Went on so easy, beautifully color coordinated, no creasing in my wrinkles. And passed the test of lasting perfectly at a wedding/reception, no need to touch up. I also purchased the liner that was also a winner!!
