Dimmer Plug

Perfect for Apartment use

We recently needed to lease an apartment for one year, while we still have our primary home in another state. I wanted to have some home automation control in the apartment. The Insteon plugin modules are perfect for creating temporary control during our lease, and easy to remove at the end of the lease. The dimmer module provides excellent control of lamps, and sets up perfectly in Indigo. The Insteon plugin modules are my go to devices for temporary and permanent installations.

Buggiest System Ever

I'm sorry to say but avoid this system at all costs. I've invested a ton of money in this almost worthless system. I have switches that are constantly disonnected. Scenes that light up different lights than were programmed. Controller hub goes off line constantly. I can't even program my two remotes because the program crashes when it can't communicate with one device. I'm convinced that this current version of Insteon is at best junk. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

Quick, easy setup

I have a number of these units as well as the on/off version. Always a quick, easy setup and if needs change, can be moved and renamed to another location. Never had one fail, always reliable.
