This is a complete replacement of the factory steel. This modification prevents exposure of the ceramic insulation, which could release ceramic fibers onto your food. It’s 12 gauge 304 stainless; super easy to install; and takes 20-25 minutes. This mod will outlast the grill. It will warp, but not much. The reason to buy this mod versus a
