The wren is “The King of the Birds”. This fable probably comes from greek mythology, but it’s origins are a bit misty. A competition to be king of the birds was set. He who could fly the highest would be crowned. The eagle, was expected to win, he soared high above the other birds and appeared to be the clear winner, until the wren emerge

Little wren sat on a branch
Who couldn’t love the nature & design of this card. It’s simple that there’s nothing surrounding the bird, as the Wren colourful ‘coat’ stands alone in its glory. Love the twig it is perched upon -Hazel??
Quality of card and paper weight is perfect.
