Excellent bag, a few improvements still possible
Took the bag (the 22L version) on a trip to Africa. The kit was a Nikon Z8, Z6, 14-40mm f/4, 180-600mm, and a Tamron 35-150 f/2-2.8. This fitted easily in the bag, with room to spare. It was relatively easy to reconfigure (carrying lenses mounted to bodies during the day, but not in the plane). Used as carry-on, the kit (with no accessories, just the above, including the two batteries but no spares in the bag) weighed 8.2kg, slightly above the max carry-on weight but not enough to worry about. I didn't use the laptop part, though I wonder if the configuration wouldn't put too much pressure on the laptop - to be tested.
The bag is sturdy, and rigid enough to keep its shape, and more importantly, I'm very confident about its ability to protect my equipment. No worries about having the back bounce around in the 4x4.
Time will tell about durability, that's a bit early, but considering the abuse it took during the trip, I'm optimistic.
Overall: extremely happy with my purchase, this is really a great bag.
Couple of improvement points means it's not quite 5 stars (4.5 would have been deserved):
- even with the new version it's still easy to mix up front and main zippers. Not a major problem, but something which could be improved
- dividers and interior of the main compartment should have 100% coverage of that (soft) velcro side, for improved configurability
- the waist belt is not the most comfortable
- the page is a bit thicker than stated. I didn't have any controls of the carry-on size, and even then it should fit, but not awesome to discover than it's a bit different that the stated specs
