Nice Scent

I used this fragrance in a CP soap batch and my design didn't work out as planned since the fragrance accelerated my batch very quickly. I like the scent and may try it again for a basic soap project with just one color. I did not use any sodium lactate in my soap. The batch started seizing up, so I had to work very fast. The soap bars will probably need to be shaved since the top of the soap looks a bit grainy.

Takes some formulation!

This one was great on the sample card, but when I received my oil sample I was surprised by how much lavender was present, considering it’s not really mentioned in the notes. I also was formulating as an oil perfume and it got really muddy in oil, could barely detect the vanilla. IPM made a big difference in getting the lavender to lift away cleanly and a more layered fragrance emerged. Now I really like it, still have to test at different concentrations to fine tune it.
