Coiled Magenta Sweater Pattern

I love this pattern, I just modified a bit at the neck as it was a bit too low for me. Very happy with the purchase

I haven't made this sweater yet because I'm trying to decide on the size to knit because the photos show that there's a lot of looseness to the pattern -- too much looseness so I've been looking on Ravelry to see how other knitters have dealt with this problem. Would going down a 1 or 2 sizes solve the issue?

I like the style. It was fun knitting it, too.
