Unexpectedly good
I've owned a number of acoustics over the years, some of which are considered mid tier to top dollar. I was extremely surprised when I opened that orange wood box and bag to see something thats both beautiful and structurally sound.
Everything from the fret board to the neck and beyond were smooth and prepared for me. Out of the box through its long travels to reach me it only dropped a half step down in tuning. Barely half a turn on each tuner had it back in tune. Strings felt and sounded really good.
Absolutley felt like I got the best bang for my buck going with Orangewood.

Rey is a great gift guitar
Did a lot of research and decided this was the best option for 2 gifts. The mahogany top is a bit more muted, warm, with more base. The spruce is slightly louder, brighter, with more treble. Both are very close in sound, these differences are minor, but perceptible. Both Rey gifts have displaced other very notable brands to quickly become the favorite acoustics of both recipients. I have decided to get an Orangewood for myself after playing both of these gift guitars. Might even try the mini, or a Greta baritone.

Set up was great and ready to play
Basically the title, it’s great, it plays great right out the box, no need to file down the edges of the frets and the action was just right, I did notice it start to droop and buzz a little on the second string after a couple days of playing but it was a great purchase overall.
