This buckwheat is the hull (or shell) of a buckwheat seed. When bundled together, buckwheat makes for a bean-bag-like
pillow that conforms to your head and neck while you're sleeping. In addition to being good for aligning your upper
vertebrae, buckwheat allows for easy airflow to keep you cool and dry throughout the night.

Perfect Hulls
I accidently spilled most of my very expensive buckwheat hull pillow outdoors, in the dirt, and there was no way I could salvage it. Turmerry buckwheat hulls were exactly what I needed. They are indistinguishable from the original filling and they sent exactly the right weight. I sleep peacefully knowing my pillow is clean and pesticide free. I know where to go now for my future bedding needs!
