1/8" Cherry

★★★★★ Excellent Quality

I purchased the 1/8" Cherry MDF Core (12x19") for use with my Aeon Mira 7 laser, and I couldn't be happier with the results. After running a material test in LightBurn to dial in my settings, this turned out to be some of the best wood I've purchased for laser cutting and engraving. The material cuts beautifully, and the engraving comes out clean, sharp, and consistent. The overall quality is excellent, and it's a pleasure to work with. I'll definitely be ordering more from Smoky Hill Designs. Highly recommend for anyone doing laser cutting or engraving!

Poor cutting

Coming from the Cherry 1/8 12x12 squares I used to get from Amazon with wood cores to these with MDF cores is disappointing. They look amazing but even at 95% power and 12 speed on my Mira 7 they require two passes compared to the one pass at 18 speed and 90% power for the real cherry from Amazon. Even worse is I bought so many of them

Excellent boards

These are excellent boards. The grain is lovely, they arrived well packed and flat and they cut nicely. I will most likely buy from SHD again
